Synthesis of Low Clinker of Blended Cement with Nanoparticle Calcium Oxide (CaO) as Additive

Abstract Synthesis of Nanoparticle Calcium Oxide (CaO) has been conducted as an additive in order to produce blended cement with low clinker. It was varied on calcination temperature at 7000C and 8000C for 6 hours and various of solvent: water and Etilen Glycol. It was confirmed by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR). Based on those characterization, Nanoparticel CaO still contained any impurities such as: CaCO3.Further step is to reduce those impurities and mixed with cement component (clinker, gypsum, etc) to produce low clinker cement with better properties on strength, setting time, and density.
