Abstract: The consciousness of the environment has been increasing for the last decades. As results, more and more companies are taking pollution into account in their logistics. One of them is by reducing emission. The levels vary as the different in fuel consumptions. Amount of this emission is equal to them. This research shows the consideration of the environment-friendly fleet by choosing the right fleet transportation: truck, rail, or their combination. Recently, companies change their transportation mode to intermodal, however its emission is not surely known. In this research, we used trucks with different capacities for FSMPRP. A set of data is prepared. First, Simulated Annealing (SA) algorithm is verified using exact solution for small instances. SA is used to solve the problem, then the right fleet transportation could be found by companies. A review about intermodal freight was also discussed to demonstrate the efficiency of heterogeneous fleet.
